These Terms govern access to Monthpost by accounting firms, their team members and invited client users. By creating an account or using Monthpost, you agree to them.
Agreement
If you use Monthpost for an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these Terms for that organization. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
The Privacy Policy explains how Monthpost handles personal data. The Security & privacy page gives a high-level overview of our approach to account access and document privacy.
Accounts and authority
You must provide accurate account information, keep your access secure and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without permission.
Firm administrators manage their workspace, users and client access. They are responsible for granting access only to appropriate people and keeping permissions up to date.
You must be legally able to enter into these Terms. Monthpost is a business service and is not directed to children.
The service
Monthpost helps accounting firms collect, review, package, publish and share client documents. Professional advice and formal record-retention decisions remain with you.
Monthpost is currently available free of charge. There is no trial deadline, paid plan or card requirement. If we introduce paid plans later, we will provide clear notice and you can choose whether to use a paid offering. Nothing becomes paid automatically.
We may update and improve the service over time. When a material change affects how you use Monthpost, we will provide reasonable notice where appropriate.
Your content and client data
You keep ownership of the documents, records and other content you upload. You give Monthpost the limited permission needed to host, copy, process and transmit that content solely to operate, secure and support the service.
You are responsible for making sure you have the authority and lawful basis to upload the content, invite users and share documents with each recipient. Do not upload content that violates another person’s rights or applicable law.
You remain responsible for the professional, legal and record-retention obligations that apply to your firm and its content.
Acceptable use
You may not:
- access another firm’s or client’s data without authorization;
- upload malware, unlawful material or content intended to disrupt the service;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to Monthpost or interfere with the service;
- use automated traffic that materially degrades Monthpost for other users;
- misrepresent your identity, authority or relationship with a firm or client;
- use Monthpost in a way that violates applicable law.
We may limit or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect users, data or the service. Where practical, we will explain the issue and provide a chance to resolve it.
Availability, support and changes
We work to keep Monthpost reliable, maintain the service responsibly and provide hands-on support when users need help.
We may perform maintenance or make updates to improve Monthpost, protect users or comply with law. When planned changes materially affect normal use, we will provide reasonable notice where appropriate.
Ending your use and deletion
You may stop using Monthpost at any time. An authorized firm administrator may request deletion of the firm’s workspace and associated content.
We may retain limited information where required by law or reasonably needed for legitimate legal, security or operational purposes, as explained in the Privacy Policy.
We may limit or suspend access for a material breach of these Terms, unlawful use or conduct that harms users or the service. Where appropriate, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.
Monthpost ownership and feedback
The Monthpost service, including its software, design, branding and documentation, belongs to Monthpost and its licensors. These Terms give you only the right to use the service while they apply.
If you send ideas or feedback, you allow us to use them to improve Monthpost without an obligation to compensate you. This does not give us ownership of your documents or confidential client content.
Responsibility and liability
Monthpost provides tools for document exchange and organization. You remain responsible for professional decisions, client instructions, recipient selection, record-retention duties and the accuracy of information entered into the service.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Monthpost is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from use outside these Terms or events outside our reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms limits any right or liability that applicable law does not allow us to exclude or limit.
Changes and contact
We may update these Terms as Monthpost develops. We will post the updated Terms, change the effective date and provide additional notice when a material change affects your rights or obligations. Continuing to use Monthpost after the updated Terms take effect means you accept them.
If one part of these Terms cannot be enforced, the remaining parts still apply. A delay in enforcing a term does not waive it.
